Position Overview
FlyExclusive is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance & Avionics Technical Sales Manager to join our expanding team in Kinston, NC. This role acts as the key liaison between clients and the maintenance organization, providing expert recommendations, technical sales support, and project coordination for corporate jet maintenance and avionics services.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with business/corporate aircraft, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex maintenance solutions in a clear and customer-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical sales interface for maintenance and avionics customers
Provide expert guidance on maintenance packages, avionics upgrades, repair solutions, and service recommendations for business jet aircraft
Prepare and deliver accurate quotes, proposals, and workscopes based on customer needs
Coordinate with maintenance, avionics, engineering, planning, and production teams to ensure precise project execution
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business
Guide clients through inspection findings, repair options, and downtime expectations
Review aircraft discrepancies, logbook entries, and readiness requirements
Ensure accurate cost tracking, work order management, and project profitability
Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities for new services and upgrades
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, avionics technologies, and regulatory changes
Represent FlyExclusive with professionalism and technical credibility
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of experience with Business/Corporate Jet aircraft
(Gulfstream, Challenger, Citation, Falcon, Embraer, Hawker, etc.)
Strong technical understanding of aircraft maintenance or avionics systems
Experience in customer-facing, sales support, quoting, or project coordination roles
Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, engineering data, and OEM documentation
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Must pass background and drug/alcohol screening
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
FAA A&P License or Avionics background highly preferred
Experience with Part 135 or Part 145 operations
Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems (CAMP, Corridor, etc.)
Previous roles in MRO sales, customer service, or technical support
Strong understanding of avionics upgrades (Garmin, Collins, Honeywell, etc.)
