Location Profile:

Headquartered in Irvine, CA, Shur-Lok manufactures fastening systems with superior locking devices for critical requirements, including engine module assembly, structural assembly, rotor blade attachment, and aircraft engine shaft and spindle applications. Operations at the Irvine location include CNC Machining, CNC Waterjet Cutting, Laser Marking, Heat Treating, NDT, and EDM.

Position Summary:

As an Inside Sales Representative, you&39;ll be the heart of our customer journey, managing relationships from initial contact through the sales cycle and beyond. Your key responsibilities will involve understanding and communicating with assigned customers, developing new leads, and managing order entries and RFQs. You will efficiently respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain excellent customer relations. In addition, you will handle sensitive pricing and customer account data, ensuring the company&39;s financial interests and customer relations. You&39;ll also contribute to the team by sharing your knowledge and training others on departmental policies and procedures. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as an account manager to assigned strategic “B” level customers.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing excellent service, answering questions, and conveying detailed product information. You&39;ll also make outbound calls to potential customers and follow up on leads.
  • Maintain a robust database of current and potential customers, ensuring their information is accurate and readily accessible.
  • Keep up to date with our product and service information and updates, demonstrating features to customers and staying informed about competing products and services.
  • Research and qualify new leads, supporting growth initiatives and ensuring focus on the most promising opportunities.
  • Manage customers&39; orders, submit RFQs, reply to customer quotations in a timely manner, and enter price changes into our computer system.
  • Assist customers with matters related to Operations, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Shipping, and Accounting. Support Operations & Shipping during Month and Quarter ends as needed.
  • Communicate customer feedback to upper management to improve our products and services.
  • Provide customer quotations based on the internal sales strategy, pricing database, cost database, and/or estimated costs provided by the estimating department.
  • Coordinate with Estimator or Inside Sales Manager for appropriate prices or to correct inconsistencies in pricing when there is missing or conflicting data, or the data conflicts with pricing guidance.
  • Investigate and resolve problems concerning manufacturing ship dates. Acts as a liaison between the company and the customer to expedite or amicably resolve delinquent shipments.
  • Always communicates, courteously, and professionally with customers, distributors, internal customers/suppliers, and other business contacts.
  • Complete company and customer documentation, such as Purchase Orders (P.O.) reviews, to ensure the final order is entered into the system correctly and matches what was offered to the customer.
  • Complete all documentation in a timely manner and submit responses to customers that meet the deadlines provided (e.g., bid close dates).
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure continuity of pricing, shipping, and delivery dates.
  • Utilize available data and tools to assist in level-loading the shop.
  • Facilitate product returns and invoice adjustments.
  • Process and adjust for returned goods in the customer file by issuing replacement orders, credit memos, etc., to maintain an auditable transaction log.
  • Maintain network access to assigned customer portals.
  • Act as a backup to a secondary set of customers by maintaining a good working relationship with key contacts, maintaining access to customer portals, and cross-training with assigned Inside Sales Representatives to ensure continuity.
  • Work to understand customer demands and provides value-added ordering suggestions to meet customer needs. Provide insight and data to Inside Sales Manager and Outside Sales team.
  • Comply with all company policies and safety rules.

Required Skills and Experience:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business Administration, Engineering, or another related field is highly preferred.
  • 1.5-3 years of experience or record of strong performance matching job duties and responsibilities in inside sales or account management in an aerospace or other regulated manufacturing environment highly preferred.
  • Experience with business-to-business sales is highly preferred.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $23.25 to $34.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
