Job Title: Industrial Helicopter Pilot / Utility Mission Specialist (Aerial Patrol & LiDAR)

 Position Summary

This role supports utility-focused helicopter operations across the United States, rotating between LiDAR survey and aerial power line patrol. You will operate in dynamic environments requiring high attention to detail, strong decision-making, and a professional mindset. This position is ideal for pilots who take pride in precision, discipline, and doing the job the right way—every time.

Core Operations

• Aerial Patrol (Power Line Patrol & Utility Inspection)
• LiDAR Operations (Survey Support / Precision Flight Profiles)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct safe, precise helicopter flight operations for utility patrol and LiDAR missions
• Execute complex mission profiles requiring stable flight, accurate positioning, and disciplined airspeed/altitude control
• Apply standardized procedures, checklists, and risk management on every mission
• Demonstrate strong CRM with crew members, technicians, and customer representatives
• Maintain a professional presence with customers and the public at all times
• Participate in pre-flight planning, weather evaluation, mission briefings, and post-flight debriefs
• Support a proactive safety reporting culture, including hazard identification and continuous improvement
• Travel throughout the United States on a rotating schedule based on project needs

Required Qualifications

• Current Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter certificate
• Current FAA medical certificate appropriate for flight duties
• Minimum 1,500 total helicopter flight hours, including at least 1,000 hours turbine time
• Strong understanding of risk management and operational discipline
• Proven professionalism and customer service skills in a field environment
• Ability to travel extensively and work flexible schedules

Work Location & Travel

• Based in Lafayette LA, Remote operations with frequent travel
• Rotating assignments between LiDAR and aerial patrol projects
• This position operates on a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation.
• The selected candidate will be sent to Bell Training School and will attend a wire-environment flying course upon hire.
