Reporting directly to the MHP (Maritime Helicopter Program) L3Harris MAS Inc, Associate Manager of Operations Management, or the designated Shift Supervisor, the Warehouse Stores Person is to put-away, retrieve, transport, issue, return, and inspect parts, consumables, Support and Test Equipment (STE) and tools in the warehouse.
Role:
The role of the Warehouse Stores Person is to make sure that received items are put-away in their appropriate location, that needed items are retrieved according to the picking list provided, that picked items are brought to their required location for assembly and or shipping, and that any other directed activities associated with the operation of the integrated warehouse, including the operation of related material handling equipment, are performed accurately, efficiently and in a safe manner. At times, the warehouse stores person will be required to assist at the Customer Service Point of Issue (CSPI/ Tool Crib), including acting as the first line of response for customer related concerns and working 2nd shift on a published schedule.
Responsibilities:
- To accurately and safely put-away material in its assigned location in the integrated warehouse, perform inventory counts, relocating inventory as required and keeping the work areas clean;
- To safely pick, label and deliver material to its designated destination;
- To accurately consolidate and properly package material in accordance with provided lists and instructions;
- To deliver shipments (Pack up Kits, returns, maintenance tasks requirements, such as parts and consumables.), accurately consolidated and properly packaged in accordance with provided lists and instructions
- To returning parts, consumables, STE and tools from the CSPI to the integrated warehouse, including proper identification and serviceability status;
- To assisting the CSPI technician to issue serviceable parts, consumables, STE and tools to DND customers as and when required for the performance of aircraft maintenance tasks;
- To report of any discovered materiel discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor or designated Shift Supervisor.
Resources:
- A computerized material management support system designed to coordinate and control the material issue and return activities for parts, consumables, STE, and tools flowing through the CSPI.
- Material handling equipment including electric forklift
- A library of business processes, procedures and instructions for the put-away, picking, consolidation, shipment preparation and materiel issue operations, including applicable Packaging Handling Storage Transportation (PHST) instructions
- A team of warehouse employees each specialized to support their specific process or warehouse operations requirement
Profile:
- High School Diploma;
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in materials handling:
- Knowledge of a Material Reporting System (MRP), like SAP would be an asset;
- Possess excellent communication skills;
- Function effectively in English (verbal and written), Bilingualism an asset;
- Working knowledge of MS office suite; and
- Soft skill: being a team player, resourceful, organized, being capable to prioritize in a short delay environment, customer oriented.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
