POSITION SUMMARY:
Under close supervision,learn how to use a variety of avionic working tools, techniques, and materialsto fabricate simple parts and subassemblies for completion of VIP aircraft.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Under close supervisionfabricate high quality wire harnesses and subassemblies I.A.W. Comlux approvedprocedures.
2. Within 90 days you mustbe able to interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensurefabricated parts meet the design spec, quality standards and customerexpectations.
3. Learn to requestmaterial needs from approved data in a timely manner to ensure a continuousworkflow.
4. Within 90 days you mustbe able to adhere to all regulatory documentation regarding proper sign offs.As well as be able to ensure paperwork is complied with and completed timely inaccordance with the Comlux RSQM and other quality standards.
5. Follow all departmentsafety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and equipment.
6. Basic knowledge ofcompany installation procedures, process specs, IOPs, etc.
7. Other duties as assignedbut not covered herein.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS,EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
1. High School Diploma, orGED. Relevant trade school attendance is a plus.
2. Basic knowledge of thesheet metal fabrication processes as it specifically relates to the corporateaviation industry, in a completions environment.
3. Ability to read, write,speak, and understand the English language.
4. Ability to read andinterpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS ANDABILITIES:
- Basic knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the fabrication process.
- Willingness to obtain knowledge of the RSQM and FAA requirements as it relates to wire harnesses and subassembly parts.
- Working knowledge of computers and related software utilized by Comlux.
- Willingness to obtain working knowledge of lean or other continuous improvement opportunity techniques.
- Ability to communicate in an assertive yet professional, motivating, and tactful manner.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environmentdescribed here is representative of those required by an employee to performthe essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.
The location wherethis position works is in an aircraft hangar environment which could be subjectto weather changes and is subject to constant exposure to loud noise, potentialcontact with hazardous waste material, heavy machinery, and other safetyhazards such as cabinets, etc.

INTRODUCTORY PERIOD
Please note that you will be on a ninety (90) day probation, duringwhich your performance will be evaluated. Comlux shall periodicallyreview your performance and ability to perform each of the essential functionsof your position identified above prior to the expiration of the probationaryperiod. If you fail to pass the performance review or display behavioralissues or fail to meet expectations for reporting to work on time as scheduled,you shall be considered as having failed to qualify for continued employmentduring the probationary period, in which case Comlux shall be entitled toimmediately terminate your employment.
