We are now looking for two Test Automation Trainees to join our Test Automation team in our Helsinki office. In this position you will learn a variety of skills needed to work in the field of test automation. You will learn how to develop test automation using Python and Robot Framework, as well as learn how test automation is used as a crucial part of software development projects.
Our test automation team works together supporting each other so you will be included in the team right from the start. The team includes employees from trainees to senior test automation engineers, so you get the chance to learn from your peers as well as from more experienced members of the team.
Your tasks may vary from automated test implementation to test framework & tool development and integration. You may also follow and analyze the test results of regression tests, identify potential quality issues and report them to the test & development teams.
The duration of this trainee period will start as agreed and lasts until September 2025 at least. The position is full-time during the summer months (6/2025 - 8/2025) and part-time part-time (2 days a week) during other times.

Who do we see working in this trainee position?
Our trainee program is aimed at those currently pursuing their studies at university or university of applied sciences. Airbus is committed to offering students meaningful work experience in the early stages of their career so please note that our trainees need to have a student status throughout their employment
You are currently studying for a technical degree, preferably in software development or information technology. As for the technical skills, we would like you to have some experience in Robot Framework for Automated test development, as well as in programming and scripting. Some Python development experience is required. Additionally, it is beneficial if you have experience in other programming languages, API driven automation, automating desktop-based applications, agile tools including Confluence and JIRA or Continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
