The Technical Illustrator is responsible for producing high-quality illustrations that support technical publications including helicopter components and assemblies, spare parts catalogs, maintenance manuals, flight manuals, and other aircraft-related graphics.
RHC Technical Publications provides critical information to Robinson Helicopter owners, operators, and maintenance personnel to ensure the airworthiness of our aircraft and the safety of the flying public. Because of this, RHC Technical Publications functions as one of the primary points of technical communication with our customers around the world.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Note: RHC Technical Publications include Safety Alerts (SAs), Safety Notices (SNs), Service Letters (SLs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Pilot’s Operating Handbooks (POHs), Maintenance Manuals (MMs), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPCs), and Kit Instructions (KIs).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and written instructions to develop accurate illustrations.
- Create precise line drawings, vector graphics, and 3D representations of mechanical systems using Adobe Illustrator and related tools.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly visuals for a broad audience.
- Incorporate labels, callouts, and explanatory text to ensure clarity and usability.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technical writers to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Deliver artwork for use in operations manuals, spare parts catalogs, maintenance instructions, training materials, and other technical publications across print and digital platforms.
