As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the managers individual performance, and available funding.
The incumbent will serve as a Frontline Manager with the En Route & Oceanic 2nd Level Engineering Group.
Duties
Manager will be responsible to direct and manage all administrative and technical activities of subordinate employees to accomplish the functional responsibilities of their group necessary to support National Airspace Systems (NAS) operational and developmental systems. Manager will apply a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the work directed in order to provide leadership and guidance to a diverse staff, which carries out the responsibility of program management, development, test, deployment, and support of NAS En Route and Oceanic Air Traffic Control systems and/or Decision Support Systems. This can include development, testing, maintenance, security, field support, and deployment of hardware and/or software. Additionally, this may include build planning/scheduling, development of support documentation (e.g., System Support Directives, maintenance handbooks, TI manuals, LOAs and MOAs), Safety Risk Management (SRM), identifying and solving technical problems, and contract management related to prime and non-prime contract requirements associated with the organization mission. Other assigned duties may include leading specific functional teams utilized for analysis of specific tests or programs.
