Job Summary:

The Shipping Coordinator supplies the shipping department with administrative support in order to ensure accurate and on-time shipments to Crane Aerospace & Electronics customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Request tracer information as required. 
  • Maintain daily shipping log, Invoice shipments for export. 
  • Print invoices for export shipments.
  • Review contract for necessary information to complete Receiving Report in or WAWF or the DD250 form for Government shipments.
  • Prepare all necessary export papers for foreign shipments.  Review sales order for commodities.  Contact freight forwarders to pick up foreign shipments.
  • Review sales orders and packing lists to determine requirements for bar coding/labels.  Set up and operate bar code and label equipment.
  • Create shipping paperwork in Oracle for all After-Market, OEM and R&O shipments.
  • Accountable for resolving customer satisfaction issues.
  • Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: One to two years’ experience in customer service/manufacturing or related field
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of numbers, their operations and interrelationships. Demonstrated knowledge of computer skills both in business system operation and Windows based productivity tools such as Word and Excel.  Knowledge of an ERP system is desired.
  • Skills: Effective communication skills with internal and external customers. Demonstrates judgment skills, such as analyzing the relative costs and benefits of a potential action. Mathematical reasoning skills, with the ability to understand and organize a problem and select a mathematical method or formula to solve the problem.
  • Abilities: Reasoning ability demonstrated with use of logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches. Demonstrates ability to apply critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Evaluates information against a set of standards and verifies that it is correct.
  • Education/Certification: High School diploma required.
  • Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in a Business-related field is desired.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a Manufacturing/Shipping environment.
  • Manufacturing/Shipping operations may require the use of safety equipment ( Personal  Protective  Equipment ) to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE.
  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes.
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary.
  • Standing: 25 *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
  • Sitting: 75 *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
  • Lifting (in pounds): Up to 40 pounds
  • Pushing (in pounds): Up to 40 pounds
  • Mental/Visual: Use of Computer & Office Equipment
  • Workspace: Shipping Area / Work Bench / Cubicle / Desk

Top Benefits:

Salary range: $25.31 to $31.77. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
