Job Description:
As a Quality Inspector in the Final Assembly Line, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the H125 helicopters meet the highest quality standards. Your responsibility will be to guarantee the conformity of products and services to the specifications set by our customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining the &34;right first time&34; principle. You will also contribute to improving customer loyalty by ensuring the product meets all required quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspections & Conformity Attestation:
Perform quality inspections according to defined standards, ensuring conformity at all stages of final assembly.
Conduct final checks, including stop points, First Article Inspections (FAI), functional tests, and out-of-sequence work, ensuring critical activities are completed as required.
Complete all relevant documentation associated with inspections and conformity attestations.
Investigations & Root Cause Analysis:
Investigate quality or technical issues identified during assembly and perform root cause analysis to determine underlying causes.
Address the cost of non-quality issues at the shop floor level, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Containment & Corrective Actions:
Ensure appropriate containment actions are taken when quality issues arise and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
Collaborate with multifunctional teams to support continuous improvement.
Production Flow & Issue Resolution:
Contribute to securing production flow by quickly resolving any quality-related issues and preventing foreign object damage (FOD).
Assist in maintaining smooth and efficient operations by identifying and resolving any obstacles impacting production.
Operational Surveillance:
Oversee the operational surveillance of delegated tasks, ensuring adherence to quality standards for people, product, and processes.
Perform regular surveillance to monitor quality during assembly.
Coaching & Mentoring:
Coach operators with Level 1/Level 2 delegation to enhance skills and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Provide on-the-job training and guidance to support quality improvements across the team.
Management of Measuring Methods & Tools:
Manage and ensure proper usage of measuring methods, quality sub-contracting, jigs, and tools to support inspections and tests.
Ensure that all equipment used in inspections is calibrated and maintained to the highest standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a quality inspection role within the aviation or aerospace industry.
Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, standards, and tools (e.g., FAI, stop points, root cause analysis).
Familiarity with assembly line processes, particularly within the helicopter or aerospace sectors.
Experience in managing non-conformance issues and driving corrective actions.
Knowledge of foreign object damage prevention (FOD) and its impact on quality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multifunctional teams and coach operators.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Ability to use measuring tools and systems for quality checks.
Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Previous experience with helicopter assembly and airworthiness regulations (preferred).
