Product Repair / Mod Technician C

$35.89-$43.93/Hour

Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly, disassembly, modification, troubleshooting, and validation of aerospace vehicle systems to ensure operational performance and compliance with flight-worthiness requirements.
- Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment to verify functionality.
- Conduct validation and verification testing of systems and components.
- Document repairs, test results, modifications, and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Inspect components and verify flight-worthiness requirements.
- Oversee and conduct training programs for maintenance personnel.
- Work under general direction while supporting high-visibility aerospace projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in repair, maintenance, and retrofit of aerospace systems.
- Experience interpreting technical publications and maintenance manuals (3+ years).
- Ability to travel 15-25 domestically and internationally.
- Ability to pass Ground Operations Personnel (GOP) and air respirator medical physicals and maintain required certifications.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience on the C-17 platform.
- Experience troubleshooting multiple systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, structural, electrical, propulsion).
- Familiarity with C-17 blueprints and USAF Technical Orders.
- Ability to analyze and develop maintenance schedules and debrief maintenance records.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to meet the C-17 Fall Protection System weight requirement of <225 lbs.
- Experience maintaining and developing operational metrics.
