Job Role OverviewThe Principal – Business Solutions (Data & Analytics) will serve as the strategic interface between business stakeholders and the Data & Analytics organization. This role is responsible for identifying business needs, shaping data-driven solutions, owning the demand pipeline, and ensuring successful delivery of data products and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a strong business partner, program leader and account manager with deep experience in consultative engagement, data-driven transformation, and multi-stakeholder management.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Partnering & Demand Management• Act as the primary point of contact for business units on all Data & Analytics initiatives.• Understand business strategies, pain points, and data needs; translate them into actionable requirements and solution roadmaps.• Build and maintain a strong demand pipeline aligned with organizational priorities and analytics strategy.• Facilitate scoping, prioritization, and business case development for new data & analytics opportunities.
Solution Consulting & Strategy• Provide thought leadership on data-driven transformation, BI modernization, AI/ML-enabled solutions, and data governance.• Challenge business assumptions, propose innovative solutions, and drive adoption of advanced analytics.• Partner with internal technical teams (Data Engineering, Data Science, BI) to architect scalable and sustainable solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement• Build deep relationships with business leaders, becoming a trusted advisor for data-driven decision making.• Gather feedback, manage expectations, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance business value.• Improve stakeholder experience through structured communication, governance routines, and performance reporting.
Value Realization & Continuous Improvement• Establish success metrics for all initiatives and ensure value is measured and communicated effectively.• Drive continuous improvement, ensuring solutions evolve with business needs and technology advancements.• Support change management and user adoption programs for analytics products.
Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical & Functional Skills• Strong understanding of Data & Analytics concepts: Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, BI tools, Cloud platforms, Data Governance, Data Science/ML fundamentals.• Must have airline domain knowledge and experience• Ability to convert business requirements into solution designs and high-level architecture.• Familiarity with modern analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), cloud ecosystems (Azure/AWS/GCP), and MDM/data quality frameworks.
Business & Leadership Skills• 10–15+ years of overall experience, in Data & Analytics consulting, business partnering, product ownership, or delivery management.• Experience working with senior business stakeholders in a matrix organization.• Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and complex cross-functional teams.• Excellent problem-solving and analytical mindset.
Preferred Qualifications• MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Technology, Analytics, or related field.• Experience in a consulting environment or in-house analytics COE.• Certifications in Agile, Product Ownership, or Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) are a plus.
