Boeing Canada Winnipeg is seeking a Mid-Level Programmer Analyst, reporting to the Information Technology Manager, working out of the Winnipeg, MB., office. The Programmer Analyst will join the Boeing Winnipeg Application Development team.
Responsibilities include development and integration for a variety of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS), in-house developed software and web applications to support our local customers. Job requires working independently as well as within a diverse team of skilled and motivated co-workers to collaborate on results. Candidates should have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
The role involves leading and performing the design, programming, test, implementation and documentation of simple to complex computing applications. Responsibilities include analysis of end user processes to define application requirements, writing and compiling code based on documented processes, identifying and resolving complex programming or application architecture problems, and recommending improvements.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate directly with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements
Design robust and scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives
Develop, enhance and maintain application solutions, conducting rigorous testing to ensure reliability and security
Create and manage project schedules, timelines and deliverables
Review code for quality, performance and adherence to best practices
Utilize Agile methodologies to deliver customer driven solutions
Lead project management efforts, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
Understand industry & company-wide trends to help assess & implement new technologies
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years working with .NET Framework and .NET Core
High proficiency with C programming language
3+ years of experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, including analysis, design, development, testing, documentation and software maintenance
3+ years of experience in Python
Experience using Visual Studio
Strong knowledge of web technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS and ASP.NET
Experience with RESTFul APIs and web services
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Experience using Power BI
Experience with Agile methodologies and project management best practices
Experience with SQL and data modelling
Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Cognos
Working knowledge of data interchange formats like JSON and XML
Experience with continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) and tools like Azure Dev Ops
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
Working knowledge of Oracle databases
Experience with unit testing and test-driven development
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
