What Will You Be Doing?

Assists the Manager, Aviation Security in developing, implementing and monitoring all aspects of the Frontier security program. Serves as a liaison with law enforcement and regulatory agencies. Conducts audits and investigations of Domestic operational and corporate security programs to evaluate the overall security preparedness and ensure regulatory compliance. To assist and/or conduct required GSC (Ground Security Coordinator) security trainings.

Essential Functions

  • Perform security investigations at the direction of the Manager, Aviation Security (25)
  • Assist the Manager, Aviation Security in the development and documentation of all security-related plans, policies, and procedures (15)
  • Serve as a liaison with law enforcement agencies at all levels (e.g., DHS/TSA, FBI, Secret Service, DEA, CBP, and local law enforcement agencies) in Denver and in Frontier out-stations (15)
  • Audit Frontier facilities to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures, document any deficiencies, and develop corrective actions (10)
  • Assist and advise all company departments with security-related matters (10)
  • Monitor the physical security of company-leased and -owned facilities and develop plans to protect both employees and property at those facilities (10)
  • Monitor compliance with domestic laws and regulations, report when deficiencies are detected, and assist in developing any required corrective actions (5)
  • Assist the Manager, Aviation Security in reviewing, answering and tracking subpoenas, letters of investigation, and letters of correction (5)
  • Provide security assistance at any time the Frontier Emergency Response Program is activated (5)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an operational role with an air carrier
  • College degree or equivalent security management experience
  • Working knowledge of law enforcement operating procedures
  • Working knowledge of DHS TSA and FAA regulations regarding aviation security
  • Demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships within Frontier as well as with governmental and law enforcement agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to discreetly and thoroughly conduct and document investigations
  • Working knowledge of Navitaire preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of all Civil Aviation Security regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel to Frontier locations to perform investigations (up to 25)

Typical office environment, adequately heated and cooled

Occasional work outside, including in inclement weather

Occasional exposure to elevated noise levels

Occasional night work, depending on operational requirements
