Aim of the internship is to analyse the impact of exchanging single components on the overall inertias of an airplane while different loading scenarios are taken into account. Existing models will be used for sensitivity checks and accompanied by theoretical investigations. A procedure to automatically generate appropriate loading scenarios will be developed and implemented into the existing tool framework.

Your tasks and responsibilitiesTraining/clarification of existing models and corresponding inertia calculations
Conceptualization and implementation of an automated generation of loading scenarios
Sensitivity analysis of existing inertias models with respect to exchanged components and theoretical investigations
Development of potential improvement ideas
Desired skills and qualificationsEnrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in the area of Mechanical / AeronauticalEngineering or an equivalent field of study.
Good technical/physical understanding (specific knowledge of inertia calculations is an advantage)
Experience within data analysis
First experience in programming with at least one language (specific knowledge of Python is advantage)
First practical experience in the field of Balance Engineering and inertia modeling is desirable.
Fluent in English and German would be a considered as a plus
