Job Description:

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada is currently searching for a In Service Aircraft Support Technologist to join the In-Service Engineering Systems & Technical Support team. This position is responsible for providing liaison between the DHC AMO and the Technical Support organization. Based in the Calgary AMO you will act as a point of contact and initial response focal for technical queries and technical needs with ongoing AMO projects and the return to service of customer aircraft. Providing liaison between the AMO and In-Service Engineering Systems & Technical Support, you will ensure that project needs are well defined, properly communicated and that time lines and priorities are met. Key Responsibilities:Representing the highest standard of De Havilland Technical knowledge and professionalism. Maintain timely responses to AMO and customer queries and technical needs in accordance with business Service Level Agreement and Charging Policy. Maintain support to Continuing Airworthiness requirements for all fleet types through data collection and reporting, SDR/Incident investigation, and managementEnsure quality solutions are provided in a 24/7 environment through the provision of technical troubleshooting, return to service documentation, and awareness of possible needed modificationsProvide on-site assistance at operators facilities as requiredCreate deliverables such as All Operator Messages, Service Letters, Concession Support Letters, Reference Instruction Letters, In-Service Activity Reports, and other fleet communicationsPrepare reports and communication packages to support customer meetings, regional reviews, conferences, working groups and other initiatives Education and Experience:Engineering Technologist or AME license or equivalent,A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in aircraft maintenance and airline/AMO environment.A firm understanding of aircraft maintenance programs, large refurbishment projects and project management skills are an asset. Familiarity with the De Havilland aircraft familyStrong background and understanding of aircraft structures, systems, and maintenance. Knowledge of TCCA and global regulatory requirementsStrong organizational skills and customer service experienceSkills:You have a strong working knowledge of Aircraft systems, Avionics and Structures and you can think on your feet in an extremely fast-paced environmentYou can support occasional travel internationally on short notice.Able to support flexible working hours as part of a 24/7/365 operation.You demonstrate exceptional ability to deal effectively with Customers, in somewhat stressful circumstances. You have exceptional organizational and presentation abilities You are a dynamic oral and written communication, with strong people skillsYou can work independently or as part of a teamStrong interpersonal and written communication skills are essential Customer support experience is a definite assetIntermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
