Heat Treat Operator

Duties:

• Control and monitoring of heat treat furnace equipment.
• Prepare parts for loading into furnace, including wiping and final cleaning as necessary.
• Ensure proper heat treat cycle is used.
• Monitor leak rate and progress of load during cycle.
• Maintain furnace systems including preventative maintenance checks on pumps and other items listed in the maintenance log.
• Recognize equipment failures. Detect faulty processes and provide input for their resolution.
• Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered.
• Train and oversee others on prior job experience.
• Work under limited oversight.
• Reads and understands manufacturing planning, blueprints, and specifications as necessary to perform the job function.
• Understanding and ability to perform basic equipment trouble shooting.
• Knowledge of shop math and precision measurement equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of a strong manufacturing background.
• Have a thorough knowledge of specifications and the different requirements of all work orders.
• Have general knowledge of complex assemblies.
• Ability to utilize air and vacuum ovens, controller, grinders, paint spray gun.
• Locate, read, and understand process procedures and instructions.
• Understand and utilize SDS sheets.
• Basic computer program understanding.
• Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all levels employees.
• Schedule and organize time and tasks effectively.
• Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment.
• Strong organizational skills

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
