Position: Ground Operations Officer    
Location: Norwich
Working Hours: 6on-3off Shift Pattern – working a mixture of earlies (5:30am-1pm) and lates (1pm-9pm)Bond Helicopters is currently recruiting Ground Operations Officers for our Norwich operation supporting our offshore contract with a major energy company. The Ground Operations role is an integral part of our operation at Norwich, ensuring effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the company’s business activities. The role is responsible on a shift basis for the safe ground handling operation of multiple aircraft, as well as the completion of some Health & Safety checks.We are looking for individuals with a passion for and experience of providing excellent customer services within a highly regulated environment. Responsibilities:
  • Comply with the processes, policies and procedures incorporated in the Ground Operations Manual to handle aircraft
  • Coordination of passenger Check-in and manifests
  • Loading and unloading of passengers onto the aircraft
  • Baggage and freight manifesting
  • Loading and unloading of passenger baggage and freight
  • General labouring duties
  • Complete aircraft towing operations
  • Complete aircraft refuelling operations including fuel quality checks
  • Booking of flight movements
  • External and internal cleaning of aircraft in line with company procedures
  • Maintain required records in relation to ground handling operations.
  • Facilitate security escorting of contractors as required
  • Act as duty First Aider and Fire Marshall
  • Completion of daily Flight report and sending to Airport Accounts
  • Apron FOD checks
  • Monitoring, responding and actioning individual company email box

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:Essential
  • Good IT skills and basic knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • A passion for service delivery with knowledge of working in a highly regulated industry
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience
  • Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences, including management
  • An efficient and organised personality
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn and self-develop
  • Ability to exercise time management to fulfil the role as directed
Advantageous
  • Experience of working in an airport ramp environment is highly desirable, but not essential
  • Experience of towing aircraft and driving HGV type vehicles is desirable
  • Previous knowledge and understanding of what is required of Ground Operations in the Aviation industry is highly desirable
