Boeing Australia is seeking a Full Stack Developer to design and deliver integrated, scalable, and secure IT solutions across corporate and operational systems.
This role is a 12 month max term contract (potential to extend) based in Melbourne with hybrid working conditions.
At a high level this role spans Payroll, HR, ERP, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing Systems, supporting Boeing’s aerospace and defense services environment. You will apply Boeing’s Application Development & Sustainment methodology and enterprise architecture principles to drive digital transformation, system integration, platform development, and custom software solutions that align with business goals and compliance requirements.
Due to the international scope of the role, occasional after‑hours meetings and calls may be required; however flexibility is encouraged. Some domestic travel may also be necessary.
About the Role:
- Design, develop, test and deploy changes to software in accordance with established standards
- Support the manufacturing production solutions lead with end to end solutions for manufacturing production processes
- Ensure compliance of manufacturing production solutions software with Information Technology and Data Analytics compliance requirements
- Perform troubleshooting of operational and integration issues
- Monitor and analyse performance data
- Assist with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
- Assist in creation of estimates, plans, schedules and corrective actions
- Support software project management and software supplier management functions
- Develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve end user satisfaction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in software development and delivery
- Experience with programming languages & database tools such as Python, C, .Net, ASP.Net, SQL, PL/SQL
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with strong organizational and planning skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional and global enterprise teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuous improvement and Boeings core values of safety & quality, trust, people focus, ownership and innovation
- Australian citizen with the ability to meet defence security requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience in DevOps & cloud-native technologies; Containerisation, CI/CD, microservices
- Experience with implementing and consuming REST APIs
- Good understanding of general manufacturing processes and operations
- Experience with industrial systems administration and/or Operational Technology (OT) system administration
- Exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments with ability to relate to stakeholders at all levels
- Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in a computer, mechatronics, engineering or quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, data science, artificial intelligence, computer science, mathematics) or equivalent work experience
