That’s perfect timing: an opportunity has arisen in the Flight and Integration Test Centre in Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Toulouse as Flight Test Installation Safety Analysis Advisor.
You will join the team in charge of Test Means Transverse Operations (Test Means and Digital Platform Domain), accountable for coordinating and steering all strategic transverse activities, including the Financial and costing activities, Methods & Tools (Process), Safety and Competence Management
As a Flight Test Installation (FTI) Safety Analysis Advisor (m/f) you will be accountable to deliver safety analysis for all new Flight test means initiatives from small modification on current already installed Flight test installation to bigger projects such as new Installation for A350 Frighter for instance.
Your Main activities:
Improve and foster the FTI Safety referential in line with the standard requirements process for FTI (DETA03 & DETA06)
Support the component development regarding the FTI safety aspects with the FTI components specialist.
Lead the FTI safety analysis, which participates in the A/C flight clearance process and Permit To Fly, by the FTI safety report elaboration.
Validate the FTID (Flight Test Installation Dossier) …
Manage the safety clearance of FTI installation
The FTI safety report shall prove that the FTI does not impair the security of the development aircraft.
Identify the list of FTI devices submitted to safety analysis : list of systems, control or sensors that could be intrusive on the normal installation with probable safety (particular risks : tank sensor/ATEX for example) consequences with the support of the FTI architect and the FTI design.
Launch and support the relevant FTI safety analysis and PRA “Particular Risk Analysis” to be performed with the pre identified safety specialist (PRA owner) with the support of FTI architect and the FTI design. Those results will be taken into account to find a solution to mitigate the risk
Identify the list of ACL &34;Aircraft Limitation&34; and/or TAS &34;technical Aircraft Specificities&34; link to the FTI that shall be taken into account
Perform before each first flight or first run an FTI safety visit on the aircraft dedicated to normal and FTI installation with the aim to identify any dangerous part that could injure people who operate the aircraft.
Be connected to the Global Safety organization to be aware of the FTI event in service and the hazard report especially for new technologies (H2 and High Voltage) and their associated action plan to ensure the good information loop for future FTI safety analysis cases.
Ensure a process improvements to ensure Safety analysis is taken into account in the first steps of projects
Promote FTI safety culture with all stakeholders.
Your boarding pass:
General knowledge of FTI (process, architecture, installation)
General knowledge of A/C systems architectures, Flight physics and A/C operation
Experience in safety assessments, including functional safety and physical safety would be a plus (not mandatory)
General knowledge of installation and FTI process would be a plus (not mandatory)
Experience on project management would be a plus (not mandatory)
