We are searching for a dynamic and motivated First Article Inspection Technician to join our team at our Bloomfield, Connecticut location. This person will work with the Quality Assurance team, handle various administrative tasks involving the generation of inspection templates and other documentation for parts and processes. In addition, this person should be team orientated with a strong attention to detail. Enthusiastic, eager to learn, with the ability to work independently. Technical knowledge is not required, though experience is preferred.

Our products are used in space, aviation, marine, hydropower and other industrial applications. As an industry leader we design, test and manufacture the highest performing, self-lubricating, roller element, metal to metal and miniature bearings in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Bubble all applicable engineering documents for a variety of inspection documents. Interpret detail and assembly drawings.
- Create initial First Article templates that are AS9102 compliant, as well as meet any customer specific requirements, as applicable.
- Work with Engineering department to resolve discrepancies within the engineering plan prior to work order release.
- Support inspection staff to troubleshoot issues within FAI software.
- Familiar with and able to navigate Net Inspect.
- Performs other similar or related duties as necessary.
Requirement/Qualifications:
- Education – Minimum High School Diploma
- Experience – 2-5 years of related experience, Manufacturing and/or Aerospace industry environment strongly preferred
- Skills/Abilities Essential to the Position:
- Knowledge of AS9102
- Organization / Planning
- PC Skills (Microsoft Office)
- Inspection equipment experience
- Attention to detail
- Blueprint reading (Must have ability to interpret detail and assembly drawings)
- Communication (speaking, questioning, listening, presenting)
