Have you considered what it may be like to work at P&W? We have an exciting opportunity for an F135 Technology Control Security Manager (TCSM) for the F135 Finland Final Assembly and Check-Out (FACO) engine production facility located in Linnavuori, Finland. The TCSM will serve as the on-site principal advisor and Pratt & Whitney representative in all matters pertaining to the established F135 program technology control requirements. The selected candidate will be assigned to Pratt & Whitneys Government Security Compliance (GSC) team and report directly to the Senior Manager, F135 Security. This position is categorized as on-site, meaning this international assignment is full-time on-site supporting the Finland FACO facility operations.

What You Will Do:
The TCSM will be part of the F135 Security mission in support of international program security requirements. The selected candidate will provide guidance, direction, coordination and oversight to all the requirements of the United States Government (USG) approved Technology Control plan for the Finland FACO facility.  The TCSM will work side-by-side with the security team of our Product Support Providers (PSPs) and the Finnish Defense Force that manage the facility. The expectation of the candidate is to execute the USG technology control and security requirements at this site. The candidate must confidently apply knowledge of security and program specific requirements in order to counsel and influence at all levels of the organization. As part of daily site operations, the TCSM will be required to provide timely updates to leadership, manage site inspection schedules, process visit requests, and participate in all facility activation, integration, and sustainment activities. The TCSM will also be responsible for conducting quarterly security self-inspections, identifying corrective actions and opportunities for continuous improvement, and providing on-site security training.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • B.A./B.S. Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret or higher DoD Security clearance. This position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining any current security clearance requirements for this program.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry, government or military experience with proven track record of working with U.S. Government agencies on the design, development and implementation of security plans, protocols and processes that protect classified information, company sensitive and proprietary data.
  • Must have the ability to confidently apply knowledge of security and program specific requirements in order to counsel and influence at all levels of the organization, government customers and other mission partners to achieve 100 security compliance.
  • Work experience and interest in the areas of compliance, security, cybersecurity and data analytics, audits, DoD contracts, program management or international business.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, standard work and training packages.


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Active U.S Secret or higher DoD Security clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience / familiarity with the Department of Defense Manuals and Instructions.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional tasks and growth opportunities.
  • Basic understanding of government contracts and export control requirements as it relates to the ITAR/EAR is a plus.
  • Knowledge of or direct experience working with jet engine production or depot operations.

Travel Required:

This is an International Assignment. No regular business travel is expected once in-country.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
