What You Will Do:
Raytheon Field Engineering is seeking an Early Warning Radar Operator Maintainer & Electronics (OM&E) technician to support Qatar Early Warning Radar (QEWR) operations from 120 days up to 12 months in Qatar. Early Warning Radar Operator Maintainer & Electronics (OM&E) technician is a hybrid role that bridges Radar operations & maintenance and Electrical maintenance execution. The role’s primary responsibility is to ensure Radar operations and maintenance activities are properly planned, documented, executed, and supported. This position requires flexibility to react and execute solutions if downing events happen on a 24/7 basis during any given shift. The primary work location will be on-site in Qatar. 100 travel is required to meet activities as needed.
Candidates for this position will be on a Short-Term International Assignment (STIA) in Qatar.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Successful completion of Early Warning Radar (EWR) console certification conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force or an equivalent course of instruction conducted by the EWR Contractor.
Must have at least 5 years of experience in test, integration, maintenance, alignment, adjustment, calibration and operation of RF equipment associated with Early Warning Radar systems, including transmitters, receivers, modulators, mixers, control systems, cabling and interconnects.
Must be experienced in establishing and assessing the performance of complex RF systems, as well as in monitoring, troubleshooting, isolating failures and removing/replacing failed components in such systems.
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, diagrams, electrical formulas, calculations, and vendor technical documentation specifications related to electromechanical systems. Qualified in performing maintenance on electrical systems, substations, transmissions, and distribution circuits. Experienced in troubleshooting and providing solutions for low to medium voltage electrical issues with a demonstrated ability to remove and replace failed or degraded assemblies and subassemblies in impacted systems.
Capable of lifting 50 pounds and work in an extreme environment.
Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Performs other related duties as required or directed by the section officer.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Telecommunications and Audio-Visual Systems
Experience in providing Technical Advice and Assistance to Foreign Military personnel with operational and tactical procedures on the EWR System.
Experience with the operation and management of exercises utilizing practice scenarios within the CMOC.
Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling systems (ALCS or equivalent tools).
Prior participation in conduct of On-the-Job Training (OJT) Programs.
Experience in dealing with customer representatives and in coordinating actions with other contractors is a plus.
Fast learner (Demonstrates initiative, ability to work independently towards program goals)
CORE Certification
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years’ experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
