Job Profile
The Building Maintenance Technician position is available in Bay City, WI. The successful candidate must have common knowledge of minor electrical, plumbing, light carpentry, painting, and other commercial maintenance. The position will involve work and inspection of the facility and equipment, as well as operating industrial motorized equipment, towing trailers, vehicles, tractors, lawn and snowplow equipment. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating repair processes or performing mechanical repairs.

Your Responsibilities:
- Makes daily inspections and documents operating perimeters of HVAC systems.
- Maintains operation of plumbing systems, water systems, and maintenance and inspection of boilers.
- Demonstrates knowledge of electrical systems, performs service work within capabilities, and works with outside vendors as required for repairs.
- Performs general building maintenance and construction work as needed on all surfaces, interior or exterior of the facility, and inspects areas on a routine schedule.
- Performs grounds maintenance, including lawn care and snow removal.
- Maintains and performs general repairs to the facility and company equipment or arranges for repair by outside sources when required.
- Operates numerous hand and power tools, and various grounds and maintenance equipment.
- Performs aircraft fueling when required.
- Removes and restocks inbound and outbound aircraft.
- Assists in interior and exterior aircraft cleaning when available.
- Performs sweeping, mopping, dusting, and other basic custodial job functions when needed.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Skill in communications, pleasant and polite to all co-workers and supervision.
- Ability to use shop equipment (brake, drill press, etc).
- Caring attitude, pride in your work and the plant.
- Self-motivated and hard-working.
- Has a basic understanding of facility utilities and maintenance.
- Be able to read mechanical tools as: caliper, gauges, etc.
- Maintain company ground equipment.
- Occasional facility cleaning and custodial duties.
- Snow removal and outside upkeep required for inclement weather.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a facility maintenance position preferred
- Must have knowledge in the use of basic hand and power tools
- Basic commercial experience/training is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
