Position Purpose

To provide benching support for machining processes in accordance with Erickson requirements and Customer requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

Deburr, grind, file, sand, blend, and polish products to design requirements.

Use basic shop mathematics to complete work assignments using measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, surface roughness gages, and others.

Assist in sawing, cleaning, machine setup, loading and unloading, and assembly of aircraft products.

Follow manufacturing order instructions and verify work is performed as needed to meet process requirements.

Read and understand drawings and technical specifications for products.

Document all work per company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Occasional use of a variety of solvent products to perform required tasks.

Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.

Comply with company policies and procedures while performing all work.

Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and general organization of work areas, machines, and equipment. Maintaining lubrication and coolant levels as related to basic preventive maintenance duties.

Routinely transport raw material and products within the immediate manufacturing work area, using shop assigned equipment (I.e., cart, pallet jack, forklift, over-head crane), as required for the next operation.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalency.

One-year hands-on working experience with hand tools such as handheld rotary tools, sanding bocks, inline sanders, templates, and all required safety equipment.

Basic knowledge in using measuring equipment, such as a tape measure, ruler, protractor, caliper, etc.

Basic knowledge of reading drawings/blueprints.

Basic computer knowledge using Microsoft Office products.

Valid Driver’s license.
