PURPOSEAs Apprentice you will be accountable for looking after and maintaining Airlines Application, Hardware, Network and a complete IT Operations setup in the Airport. Your primary job function will be to resolve Technical issues, System problems, LAN and WAN troubleshooting, Printer repairing, UPS fault finding, along with Customer and Airline communication.The focus will be on learning about technologies methods and acquiring skills and proficiency whilst providing some additional capacity to the existing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperation support L1:
- Oversee operational activities and deliver essential support to clients.
- Respond promptly to emergency callouts and implement measures to ensure system uptime.
- Manage incidents and system availability in accordance with the SLA agreement.
- Conduct daily inspections of the machines.
- Monitor and follow up on the operational incidents.
- Manage incidents and service request in the client ITSM tool, if necessary.
- Attend to all IT-related issues by analysing relevant logs, including timestamps, with accurate problem descriptions, and resolve issues.
- Prepare hardware fault reports for the faulty items and send them to the vendors and provide RCA if necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage spare parts according to requirements.
- Compile and manage both internal and external operation and maintenance reports.
- Conduct and perform preventive maintenance on Airport Assets.
- Record all maintenance activities following established procedures.
- Escalate incidents to other levels in timely manner but retain overall accountability and management of all incidents.
- Responsible for providing feedback to users on fault resolution.
- Maintain regular contact with third parties, as necessary, to ensure timely fault resolution.
- Ensure environmental safety compliance and adherence to ISO Standards.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
•Diploma, Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field equivalent (BCA, MCA, B.SC IT etc).
•Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
•Basic knowledge of computer hardware components and systems
•Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
•Good communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Basic knowledge of network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
•Should be flexible to work evenings or weekends as required.
•This role requires flexibility to work in rotating shifts, including night shifts.
•Ability to stay composed and perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
•Must be able to adapt quickly to new processes, tools, and technologies.
