Summary:
Seeking an experienced Cable Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and completed cable assemblies in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards. Responsibilities include identifying non-conformances, reading and interpreting technical documentation, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
Responsibilities:
Inspect cable assemblies using visual criteria and measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.).
Accept or reject assemblies based on specifications, blueprints, and inspection checklists.
Identify defects per IPC-A-620 and customer-specific standards.
Perform basic assembly tasks in inspection areas as needed.
Communicate effectively with assemblers, technicians, engineers, and management.
Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and documentation.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Must have experience inspecting soldered and crimped cable assemblies per IPC-A-620.
Prior experience in cable inspection is required.
Detail-oriented with strong proficiency in reading drawings, diagrams, parts lists, and IPC manuals.
Proficient with computers (email, file access, SharePoint).
Able to read and write English.
Visual Inspection (1 2 years)
IPC-WHMA-A-620 (1 2 years)
Wire harness print reading
Basic computer skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Team player with ability to interface professionally across departments
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
