Core Responsibilities:
• Inspect parts for cracks.
• Job requires major attention to the detailed requirements of alloy application and standard process procedures.
• Clean Room techniques must be followed for process success.
• Repair parts using alloy material.
• Notify Engineering or Quality organizations for unusual part conditions that may be observed.
• Tack weld pre-forms on parts.
• Tack honeycomb on part, checks for dimensions using gages and calipers, making necessary adjustments.
• Responsible for maintaining material traceability for performs or powders applied to parts.
• Applies stop-off to keep alloy in place during brazing process.
• Performs those activities, and operates the equipment associated with the application of powder or paste alloy to parts.
• Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.
• Responsible for the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Must be able to calculate powder ratios to make correct powder blends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to multitask different aspects of the job.
• Must be a team player.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a production/shop position.
• Able to communicate verbally and / or in writing with other employees, team members and supervision as necessary.
• Must be able to read and interpret operation sheets and follow complex instructions and/or directions.
• Have good hand to eye co-ordination and dexterity.
