Responsibilities:
The Tool Room/IMRL Manager, Journeyman will be responsible for the technical supply management of inventory items, tools, and IMRL (Individual Material Readiness List) essential to support maintenance operations for assigned aircraft and emerging maintenance requirements.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Storage, requisition, receipt, issue, and cataloging of inventory items, tools, and IMRL assets.
- Maintaining records of tools issued and returned, as well as ensuring the calibration of all required items (METCAL).
- Managing inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing common/specialized tools, hand tools, machine tools, replacement parts, consumables, and shop supplies.
- Conducting periodic inventories and requisitioning stock as needed.
- Unpacking and storing new equipment, visually inspecting tools for wear or defects, and reporting damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors.
- Maintaining tools by applying preservatives and identifying tools and equipment using appropriate marking methods
