BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for an experienced Systems Engineer specializing in support to our development efforts in our Terminal High Area Altitude Defense (THAAD) Missile Seeker which is an Infra Red (IR) Program.

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading a small to medium team to manage the technical planning, execution of system integration, verification and validation and qualification testing. They will support the review of systems requirements including hardware, software, component, subsystem and operational requirements. They will ensure the appropriate facilitates and test equipment needed for systems level testing are planned and made available. The selected candidate will generate the overall system test strategies including the systems verification plans, procedures and reports. They will prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal stakeholders and the customer. They will monitor system technical performance metrics and support proposal development activities. The ability to work across functional engineering disciplines will only serve to enhance success as the Systems Integration, Verification and Validation Lead.

Job Requirements:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Active secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Math, Science or Computer Science with at least 8 years’ experience
Ability to work across functional engineering disciplines
Experience leading a technical team across the entire Systems Lifecycle

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Experience creating development proposals including cost, schedule and proposal text
IR related work experience
Experience in system architecting of solutions for guided projectiles
Strong written and verbal communications skills with experience briefing leadership teams

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
