Located in Wilder, KY and founded in 1946, Andrews Laser Works specializes in the fabrication of complex assemblies from Inconel, steel, aluminum, and titanium sheet with a core competency in aero engine brackets and components. Utilizing laser cutting, machining, forming, stamping, welding, & assembly processes, the company transforms sheet metal into complex, tight-tolerance brackets for aircraft engines. Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved in the identification, acquisition and distribution of raw materials and components. This position will oversee the procurement and production scheduling functions within the plant. The Supply Chain Manager is expected to drive savings projects as well as tackle risk mitigation related to long-term strategic supply planning. May require limited work/travel at another division, facility or office location.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Procurement and Production Scheduling functions within the plant.
  • Work with purchasing to negotiate best prices, payments terms, and delivery timelines with vendors.
  • Ensures that production plans and controls are developed and executed.
  • Responsible for seeing that the monthly shipping level and on-time delivery goals are achieved via timely releasing of jobs to the shop floor.
  • Collaborate with production to achieve on-time delivery goals.
  • May occasionally perform special projects; Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Problem solving, communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to train, lead, and mentor employees, including reinforcement of safety guidelines.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders – including suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and internal/external teams.
  • Identifying and mitigating risk within the supply chain.
  • Strong understanding of the concepts and capabilities that pertain to complex manufacturing.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and an ability to work proactively in a teamwork environment
  • Take leadership role willingly, manage time, priorities, written reports, metrics, and presentations without supervision
  • Ability to affect changes from non-reporting personnel
  • Attention to detail

Required Experience:

5+ years recent complex manufacturing environment experience

Level of Education:

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or equivalent field or experience.
