UnspecifiedAre you ready to take your supply chain expertise to the next level? Collins Aerospace is looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Supply Chain Manager, focusing on delivery assurance and metric improvements. In this role, youll be at the forefront of our operations, acting as a liaison between commodity management, IPT business leaders, operations, planning and line management to resolve issues and ensure on time delivery. Youll assess part issues and develop resolutions to meet production throughput, productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. You’ll be responsible for working closely with our suppliers across the world to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customers dynamic needs.
We need a dedicated individual on our team who develops mechanisms for managing and monitoring operational part progress from kitting through shipment. Ensuring that business process outcomes are in harmony with the organization’s strategic goals, youll work collaboratively across all departments of the organization and focus on the entire process from beginning to end, introducing innovation into the process that can impact results and enhances profitability.
There is a strong preference for this role to be based out of Lenexa, KS, or Phoenix, AZ. Other preferred locations would be Uniontown, OH and Union, WV. However, a hybrid or remote option may be considered for an ideal candidate and relocation may be available.
What You Will Do:
- Acquire a vision of the big picture in order to identify and create operational solutions that will enhance our operational effectiveness and allow us to accomplish specific business objectives.
- Support the development of a strong supplier quality focus by utilizing standard supplier and site quality improvement tools.
- Develop a strong understanding of the products and the operational processes they go through.
- Identify and implement opportunities to break functional, operational, & logistical barriers faced with getting products out the door.
- Develop and/or modify operations plans and develop and implement solutions with functional organizations to reveal and remove barriers toward business goals specific to the organization.
- Gather feedback and benchspan and analyze various business processes to identify new improvement projects.
- Support multiple projects and interact with several departments and various levels of leadership simultaneously.
- Manage / assist with process improvement projects, prioritizes project work, and support the needs of our Lean operating system (ACE).
- Utilize SAP and Microsoft Excel to support process improvement initiatives.
- Travel expectation would be approximately 25-40 but can fluctuate depending on needs of the business.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

- Ability to travel approximately 25-40 of the time to supplier locations (primarily domestic with the potential for some international)
Qualifications We Prefer
- Master’s degree in supply chain, business or technical field preferred
- Meaningful experience working with suppliers
- Commodity Management/Leadership experience
- Delivery assurance experience
- Experience organizing and implementing process improvement initiatives
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with a variety of commodities
- Aerospace experience
- Ability to craft clear communications, build positive relationships and strong follow up skills
