Supervisor, Quality Assurance (Machining)

The Quality Supervisor position will oversee a high-performing team of over 10+ dimensional inspectors on the first shift. This role involves close collaboration with other functions within the machining department. As the Quality Supervisor, you will foster a "quality first" culture within the team while improving efficiency, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and managing overall performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and meet weekly to ensure safety and quality are met
- Schedule and prioritize work-flow management
- Create and maintain a continuous improvement culture and ecosystem within the dimensional inspection area
- Serve as the liaison between the team and the associated production functions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and reliability teams to support inspection and disposition requirements
- Manage inspector career development planning and certification training to meet inspection needs in the work center
- Support the Director of Quality with recommendations for hiring and sourcing personnel.
- Assist with the planning and scheduling of maintenance for inspection equipment.
- Enhance inspection quality by prioritizing and implementing lean strategies.
- Ensure the team maintains proficiency by using inspection methods, automated systems, and tooling for the work center
- Assist with the root cause analysis for quality improvement.
