OVERVIEW:
YOUR ROLE AS Senior Executive, Internal Audit
As part of our Group Internal Audit (GIA) team, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding governance, risk management, and control processes across AirAsia’s operations. You will be leading and supporting audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvements that strengthen our brand integrity and customer trust.
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
Strengthen AirAsia’s brand image through effective audit practices and customer advocacy.
Lead the development of Audit Work Programs and ensure audits are conducted accordingly across all AOCs.
Prepare audit documentation such as notifications, planning memorandums, and document request lists.
Lead audit teams, ensuring objectives are met and assignments are completed within allocated resources.
Compile accurate Audit Reports and working papers.
Assist Audit Managers in planning audit scope and procedures.
Perform preliminary reviews and internal control evaluations with guidance from the Audit Manager.
Draft observations and ensure completeness of audit working papers.
Execute cross-functional assignments within GIA.
Carry out ad-hoc audits on areas of concern and ensure compliance with SOPs.
Take on any additional tasks assigned by the Audit Manager and above.
WHO YOU ARE:
Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
Professional, objective, and able to maintain high confidentiality.
Confident, dependable, and able to work under pressure.
Organised with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
A critical thinker with sound judgment and decision-making ability.
Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
Experience: 3–4 years in Internal Auditing.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
Professional Qualification (preferable): ACCA, CIMA, CA, CIA, CFE or equivalent membership.
Training (beneficial): Internal Audit and Risk Management Framework, Industrial Relations Procedures.
