Summary of Duties

Working under the direction of the Spares Operations Warehouse Manager, this position will manage all Domestic and International outbound orders and shipments; work closely with the Quality Assurance and Trade Compliance Departments to maintain accurate records; ensure that Quality Standards within the Shipping Department for the picking and packaging of all Sales Orders are being followed as instructed; confirm that the shipping of Spares Parts are in accordance with our ISO work instructions. This includes the supervision of the Import/Export Group in accordance with all United States Regulations. With this responsibility, the Spares Operations Warehouse Shipping Supervisor is required to adhere to all DOT and IATA regulations when shipping Dangerous Goods. Under the guidance of the Spares Operations Warehouse Manager, he/she will also have the responsibility for ensuring that accurate document preparation required by the U.S. Customs Agency is completed in a timely manner for the Importation or Exportation of Spares Operations aircraft parts which will include the proper classification of materials for Customs Duty purposes. This position will also prepare and monitor the daily activities of employees to ensure that a maximum level of quality, efficiency and productivity is achieved. The Spares Operations Warehouse Shipping Supervisor is also responsible for the hiring and training of new employees, 90-day and yearly performance reviews, as well as provide coaching and development needs for his/her direct reports. The position also requires the continuous auditing and review of existing processes and procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Responsible for day-to-day activities of distribution personnel. Leads, directs, trains warehouse personnel as required
  • Responsible for warehouse operations to ensure parts are received, packaged, picked and shipped in accordance with applicable Work Instructions as listed in ISO Manual.
  • Responsible for shipping of dangerous goods in accordance with Local, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Responsible for the delegated inspection and assessment of all incoming and outgoing aircraft parts and related materials to ensure that all products are in compliance with Dassault Aviation and all applicable FAA regulations.
  • Ensuring warehouse is operated in accordance with applicable OSHA Regulations and Company Safety Policies, that all employees are trained in the proper handling and shipping of hazardous materials and safe operation of equipment.
  • Assisting in the development of delegated inspectors through recurring training with the Q.A. Department.
  • Oversee the exporting and importing of international shipments in accordance with all Local, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Maintain records for compliance in accordance with all Local, State, and Federal for international shipments.
  • Oversee and audit shipments and paper work.
  • Responsible for the proper cross training of employees within the department.
  • Responsible for working closely with Inventory Control personnel to ensure accurate inventory is maintained within the warehouse.
  • Working closely with the material department to meet or exceed deadlines on kiting of parts.
  • Perform yearly performance evaluations for all direct reports.
  • Monitoring location 21 to ensure items are moved to inventory daily.
  • Responsible for maintaining overtime hours with departmental budget.
  • Communicate with all departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Assures proper housekeeping is maintained at all times within the warehouse.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet departmental or business objectives on an as needed basis.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four year college degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Five years experience in warehousing / distribution systems.
  • Three years experience with computerized material and management distribution systems.
  • Three years experience in a lead or equivalent related position, in a service organization.
  • Three years experience working with customer service, purchasing, quality control, inventory control.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Knowledge of Import / Export Operations as related to shipping internationally.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT/IATA and HAZMAT regulations.
  • Knowledge of warehouse layout and re-organization based on parts status.
  • Ability to work first, second, or third shift as required by the position.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous Lead or Supervisory Experience.
  • Experience with Airworthiness documentation.
  • Intermediate SAP Experience.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Dangerous Goods Full Acceptance Training Certification as related to the storage, handling and shipping of said materials.
  • Experience with FAA Regulations as it applies to installation, manufacturing and storage of parts.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Climate Controlled Warehouse environment.
  • Use of personal computers and company-issued cellphone.
  • Ability to work while standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs unassisted.
