PROJECT SUPERVISOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITIONSUMMARY:

Overall responsibility to include overseeing the quality,budget and scheduled delivery of assigned project as assigned by the Head ofProduction. Requires cohesive coordination and communication with Scheduling,Project Manager, Engineering and other department Supervisors and Managers toensure that Production targets are aligned with the overall project plan foreach assigned aircraft completion. The Project Supervisor will be focused on continuousimprovement to drive excellence in execution, accountability, and recognition.Lead by example, ensure the department and its employees maintain the highest standardsof safety, quality, schedule and profitability.

ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Support the development of department specific reports such as aircraft completion schedule and manpower requirements, broken down by project or daily work plans
  2. Conduct daily or weekly department production meetings with team members to support, monitor and track the completion of production targets and aircraft status
  3. Verify that all materials, equipment, documentation, and labor necessary to achieve established production targets are available in the department at all times
  4. Ensure the required engineering documentation, work instructions, and IOPs are available, current and being utilized by technicians
  5. Plan/ approve the work scope, milestones, timeline and inter-disciplinary activity for the overall project Ensuring appropriately qualified personnel
  6. Ensure tooling and authority approvals are in place for the project timeline
  7. Promote a ‘just’ reporting culture as part of a safety management system
  8. Responsible for early identification and tracking of critical path/mass activities, and appropriate escalation to resolve and unblock engineering, material or other constraints
  9. Monitor upstream inputs and metrics/ deliverables to minimize risk and maintain schedule adherence
  10. Monitor and report performance efficiency/ earned value to ensure overall project plan is maintained within schedule and budget plan and be proactive to reduce risks
  11. Maintain a risk and opportunity register and road map to project and mitigate long term deviations to scope and budget
  12. Lead project closure sessions to evaluate the success and opportunity points for continuous improvement
  13. Responsible for overseeing the quality and timeliness of OSV deliverables which will require direct communication with the procurement team as they are in charge of OSV contracts.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION,EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Thorough knowledge of high-end VIP aircraft interiors and components to include the fabrication, installation, removal and repair.
  3. 8+ years in a completion/production environment, 5+ years in progressive leadership roles.
  4. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

REQUIREDSKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Proficient knowledge and expertise with Interior components, fabrication, finish/paint, upholstery, installation, removal and repair.
  2. Strong knowledge of FAA requirements for aircraft Interiors.
  3. Working knowledge of lean or other continuous improvement opportunity techniques.
  4. Be a champion of safe working environment.
  5. Demonstrated ability to motivate a team.
  6. Strong customer service skills.
  7. Must be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
  8. Ability to communicate in an assertive yet professional, motivating and tactful manner.
  9. Working knowledge of computers and related software.
  10. Willing to travel domestically and internationally when required.

Thelocation where this position works is in an aircraft hangar environment whichis subject to weather changes, constant exposure to loud noise, potentialcontact with hazardous waste material and other safety hazards such asaircraft, steps, interior components: divans, chairs, other cabinets etc.
