Job Overview

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage resources, and mitigate risks to drive successful project outcomes and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our production operations.

Essential Functions

  • Planning and Scheduling: Developing project plans, setting objectives, defining milestones, and creating schedules to ensure timely completion of production tasks and delivery of products. This involves coordinating resources, identifying dependencies, and allocating budgets effectively.
  • Resource Management: Identifying and allocating the necessary resources, including labor, materials, equipment, and facilities, to execute production tasks according to the project plan. This also involves optimizing resource utilization, managing capacity constraints, and resolving resource conflicts.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and uncertainties that could impact project objectives, assessing their likelihood and impact, and developing strategies to mitigate or manage them effectively. This includes monitoring risks throughout the project lifecycle and implementing contingency plans as needed.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Facilitating communication among project team members, stakeholders, and relevant parties to ensure alignment of goals, expectations, and requirements. This involves providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns or issues promptly, and managing stakeholder feedback effectively.
  • Assist program management, acquisition support, analytic support, technical analysis, user requirement management/development, and customer outreach and support.
  • Apply technical and functional expertise to develop business solutions for evolving business.
  • Contribute to project proposal efforts for existing and future growth by providing technical inputs.
  • Provide project updates to Program Manager and stakeholders about progress and adjustments.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas of improvements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Must be proficient in the MS Office productivity suite of software.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts, scheduling, requirements, and program office functions.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Understanding of risk management and quality assurance principles
  • Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Time and resource management skills

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelors degree in project management, business administration, engineering, or related field
  • CAPM or PMP preferred.

Experience

  • 3 years in project management or equivalent experience in a technical environment.

While the job involves frequent periods of sitting at a desk, typically occupying 1/3 to 2/3 of the workday, candidates should possess the physical stamina and flexibility to seamlessly transition between these activities to effectively oversee project operations and facilitate smooth production processes.

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance required. U.S. Citizenship required.
