Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Manufacturing Quality Inspection Manager to lead our New Hampshire based Quality Technicians and Inspection team within the CEMA Business Area. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting quality practices and surveillance directly on the production floor. The role will supervise and develop the factory quality inspection team and routinely collaborate with the Operations, Process Engineering and Program Quality teams to meet product quality requirements, reduce rework and scrap, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of quality inspectors and technicians, providing guidance, supervision, and development opportunities to ensure alignment with quality policy, strategic objectives, and organization goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including factory leadership, engineering, supply chain, quality, and program personnel, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Ensure that inspection processes are reflective of customer product acceptance requirements and that team capability and flexibility are sustained and continuously improved.
  • Review, analyze, and report on quality, delivery, and cost metrics for production, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Reinforce the quality system through QMS requirements (AS9100), internal command media requirements, program-specific requirements, and factory procedures.
  • Facilitate product process verification (PPV) and/or first article inspection (FAI) reporting in accordance with AS9102 requirements. Implement AS9145 best practices in SPC, FMEA, KCs, MSA, and effective control planning that result in improved quality and delivery.
  • Extract data for visual presentations to effectively communicate positions, issues, or drive actions.
  • Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for discrepancies using proven root cause and corrective action (RCCA) techniques.
  • Manage department budgets and utilization, ensuring effective resource planning and allocation to meet business objectives.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of lifecycle management, program and business operations, and apply this knowledge to inform quality decisions and drive business outcomes.

Job Requirements:
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree and 6-8+ years of experience or 10-12+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a quality assurance role, with knowledge of quality management systems like ISO9001.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to exhibit sound interpersonal skills, involving interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with others.
  • Must be able to gain a Secret clearance.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment certified to AS9100.
  • Experience in a quality assurance role, with knowledge of quality management systems like AS9100 or ISO9001.
  • Experience with AS9145 and associated production part approval process (PPAP) elements.
  • Knowledge of and experience with electronics manufacturing in accordance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
  • Experience with quality management systems activities, including auditing and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to apply, interpret, and advise teams on quality, process documentation, and workmanship requirements for product realization and inspection of components, assemblies, and subassemblies.
  • Familiarity with quality sciences, frameworks, and tools (L6S, etc.).
  • Experience with root cause and corrective action (RCCA) techniques and problem-solving using various quality science tools.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
