About the Role:
Wing is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our Manufacturing and Supply Chain team based in Palo Alto, California. In this role you will spearhead the migration of the supply base to build a resilient supply chain. You’ll also liaise with our manufacturing partners for parts qualification and product validation. Your efforts will be crucial to deliver cost reduced hardware. The ideal candidate has a passion for making an impact in a fast paced environment, and the ability to deliver results as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain initiatives to mitigate risks associated with suppliers
- Coordinate within the hardware teams on validation and reliability of new and or alternate components
- Work closely with Sourcing, Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Organization to ensure that the processes are compliant with Wing and Alphabet Standards
- Manage supply chain resiliency projects in collaboration with all business functions.
- Ensure Vendor’s data and security audit is in compliance with Alphabets security standards.
What You’ll Need:
- 8+ years of industry experience in the following fields: supply chain set up, migrating suppliers from one region to another
- BA/BS in EE, ME or equivalent practical experience
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across multi regional teams
- Parts validation & qualification and ensuring that there is seamless BOM rollout
- Experience working on NPI in the hardware product environment
- Program management experience with a proven track record of successful implementation in a matrix organization
- Strong written communication and organizational skills with demonstrated cross functional collaboration
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment
- Experience or understanding of Incoterms and trade compliance
- Ability to travel internationally 10-15

$201,000—$234,000 USD
