PAL Technical Services is currently hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for our Modifications - Structures team in St. John&39;s, NL.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the maintenance, repair and overhaul of all aircraft and aircraft components
- Responsible for the Technical Dispatch of all aircraft from the standpoint of maintenance performance in accordance with the MCM
- Ensure sufficient tools and equipment are made available to accomplish the maintenance and inspection functions
- Responsible for the administration of quality and safety practices and procedures including but not limited to:
- SMS reports
- Safety inspections
- Injury reporting
- Toolbox inspections
- Responsible for the supervision of an assigned workforce and monitoring employee performance
- Monitor the serviceability of required tools and equipment and report any deficiencies
- Maintain the workshop and hangar facilities in a clean and orderly manner
- Participate in resource discussions and recruitment process as required
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Required: Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Course completed or have equivalent experience through a program such as ICS;
- Preferred: M1/M2, S or E license or equivalent rating.
- Experience on the following aircraft is preferred:
- Dash 8-100/200/300
- King Air
- Beechcraft 1900
- Demonstrate strong organization and communication skills to interact professionally with team members
- Thorough knowledge of company aircraft and their related systems
- Ability to plan and organize the work processes and work packages in the shop environment to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency of the production team.
- Ability to manage people
- Ability to deal with and work in pressure situations and under timeline constraints both independently and in a team environment
- Must be flexible to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times due to operational and/or unforeseen situations.
