What are your contributions to the team?
• Lead the Completion Supplier Quality Management teams, ensuring strong alignment with business priorities and operational needs.
• Drive daily execution and team priorities while maintaining a structured long‑term continuous improvement roadmap.
• Supervise and support a team acting as the key liaison between supplier corrective action teams and operations management.
• Partner closely with the Corrective Action Manager to deploy proactive and reactive containment strategies, reducing supplier quality issues related disruptions and non‑standard work.
• Manage supplier non‑conformities, line checks, and quality disclosures directly on the production floor.
• Coach and develop the team in effective data gathering, problem definition, 4‑blocker preparation, and clear executive‑level presentations.
• Represent Supplier Quality in key forums such as Operations Corrective Action Reviews, supplier calls, quality reviews, and weekly, monthly, and quarterly intersite or supplier meetings to drive performance improvement.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, entrepreneurial mindset, project management capability, and a high level of accountability and teamwork.
• Support, mentor, and motivate Supplier Quality Analysts to ensure product conformity and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Apply structured problem‑solving methodologies including Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other quality tools to reduce supplier non‑conformities and recurring issues.
• Maintain and continuously develop team competencies while ensuring compliance with internal quality systems, tools, and documentation (QDs, QADs, QAPIs).
• Actively support daily production floor meetings, ensuring clear communication of priorities and consistency across shifts.
• Assist management in collecting data, preparing analyses, and delivering impactful presentations for decision‑making.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with other departments and suppliers to resolve critical issues and deploy effective containment plans at supplier sites.
How to thrive in this role?
• University degree in technical field, quality management, or project management.
• Minimum of 5 years’ management experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Continuous Improvement.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment (AS9100, ISO, SMS).
• Familiarity with unionized environments and collective agreements (considered an asset).
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage time and priorities effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• High standards of ethics, integrity, and accountability, with a positive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Experience or knowledge in supplier audits (process and product).
• Proficient in structured and analytical problem-solving techniques (Kepner Tregoe is an asset).
• Effective communicator at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of quality tools such as Andon, containment, and corrective action methodologies.
• Understanding of technical drawings, GD&T, and CATIA (asset).
• Experience with CAPA processes and cost of poor quality (COPQ) reduction planning.
• Familiarity with aircraft systems and structures.
• Strong skills in statistics and computer software.
• Knowledge of product conformity and certification requirements.
• Understanding of airworthiness regulations.
