The role includes liaising with Air Canada Cargo Operations, Customer Service Unit, Sales, Headquarters and external third parties. The role is additionally responsible for ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements for Air Canada Customers, both on Inbound and Outbound Cargo.
Responsibilities:Plan / assign duties to Warehouse Attendants as required and ensure that rest breaks are incorporate and planed with minimum disruption to the operationsEnsure Warehouse Attendants are rotated and assigned different job functions on a regular basis, to ensure continued use of skillsCoordinate and ensure that all warehouse functions / responsibilities are completedBe visible at all times, assist in the warehouse Operation and provide coaching & support where requiredOversee the acceptance and delivery of Cargo / Mail within our warehouse facility ensuring SOPs (standard operating procedures) are adhered to.Coordinate the planning / build of flights are per the Booking List provided in WeblynxEnsure all health & safety procedures are applied according to company SOPsEnsure all security procedures are adhered to in accordance with current company and regulatory procedures Ensure all incidents / accident are reported promptlyConduct appropriate additional security screening for Cargo which has failed Xray screeningEnsure continued dialog with Cargo Operations Mangers, Coordinators, Cargo Agents, Leads and Third Parties throughout working dayEnsure that Company Policy / Procedures are adhered to and communicated to staff effectivelyAttend any scheduled Management, Coordinator and Lead meetings as requiredEnsure that all memo’s, Security and Health & Safety instructions are communicated effectively to direct reportsEnsure Cargo IQ performance standards for both Exports and Imports are metEnsure compliance with ACU online trainingComplete yearly appraisals for employees when requiredEnsure that HAL ID pass is kept valid at all times
Qualifications2 years previous internal/external Cargo warehouse experienceA good knowledge of cargo processes and proceduresPrevious Cargo Warehouse experience an advantage. Demonstrable leadership skillsMust be a team player and represent Air Canada in a professional mannerMust have an ability to use tact, good judgement and initiative, with a flexible attitude and willingness to make decisions for the benefit of both Air Canada Cargo and our CustomersAbility to work under pressure, plan workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervisionWear Company uniform as prescribed and conform to Company grooming standardAbility to access the AC Aeronet and independently research the AC publications to determine Company procedures and processes
