An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Lab Software Development Technical Team Leader (m/f) to support the development of the systems embedded software and tools used on test rigs within the Airbus Flight and Integration Test Centre in Toulouse.

About us:

We are hardware and software engineers in charge of developing the various Lab Test Means components. As the team expands, we are updating the organisation by creating two groups of people: the first one focusing on the software development of the components and the second dealing with the hardware management and the deployment of the components on the test rigs. Most of the components we are developing are considered as new &34;bricks&34; of a wider &34;Ground Test Box&34; product line managed through a transnational project. The aim of the Ground Test Box project is to offer generic solutions to our internal customers for the new test campaigns of new avionic systems but also to tackle obsolescence on legacy test rigs in Toulouse, Filton, Bremen and Hamburg. Thanks to our expertise, we also provide support to the operational teams on the systems and tools we are proudly developing.

In a nutshell, we are &34;doers&34; working in a testing environment and we enjoy it!

Task & accountabilities:

The Technical Team Leader (TTL), the Jobholder will

• Lead the software development technical team to ensure that the components are developed according to the plan, in time, cost and quality.

• Manage day-to-day operations, including effective challenge to protect our developers bandwidth and secure our committed deliverables.

• Ensure that processes and procedures are followed.

• Engage initial escalation of project issues, risks and opportunities

• Interface with our customers and main stakholders (projects, architects, operational teams, etc.).

• Build our development technical roadmap.

• Manage resource planning / forecasting / allocation.

• Manage initial cost and planning proposals for new activities.

• Create and follow budget requests.

• The TTL will support the team leader on operational / technical topics, on team related topics such as people performance and development.

• Some travels each year shall be considered, especially to other test premises in Europe.

Your boarding pass:

• Masters degree in software and systems development or equivalent

• Strong experience in embedded software & software tools development projects management

• Good knowledge and expérience in software development methods such as Agile/Scrum

• Good knowledge of software (development / administration / devops basics) and usual programming languages (C,C&43;&43;, Python, Web, scripting such as TCL)

• Good management skills

• Exprience in testing environment would be appreciated

• Good level of practice of office tools​

• English and French : fluent
