We are seeking a Director level Health, Safety, andEnvironmental (HSE) professional to join the Honeywell Industrial Automation (IA)team. This individual will be a member of the IGS HSE Leadership Team,responsible for driving HSE continuous improvement, compliance, and engagementwithin the business.  The role reports to the SETS/IGS Sr. Director HSE.

As an HSE Director, the successful candidate must be results driven andable to develop strong relationships with the IGS business leaders.  The candidate must be compliance focused andprovide hands-on support with the ability to deploy continuous improvementthrough a strong MOS; to drive goals, objectives, improve culture andbehaviors.
We are looking for strong person and process leader, capable of managing,coaching/mentoring HSE professionals within the Install business.  The individual must be a well-rounded leaderthat can manage health, safety and environmental programs factory and field or constructionenvironment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing a global compliance strategy; including the Honeywell HSE Management System and regulatory compliance requirements at all factory locations.
  • Driving a heavy focus on injury reduction through cultural and behavioral initiatives.
  • Partner with the IGS leadership to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Ability to reduce the risk profile of projects in IGS by identifying gaps through self-assessments, audits, gembas, and agency or 3rd party inspections.
  • Strong ability to use Accelerator/Lean Practices and Principles to develop, deploy and continuously improve HSE results and improve efficiencies.
  • Support Install projects with adequate reviews/visits/inspections to drive continuous improvement within HSE.
  • Work in concert with Corporate Field Work Director to assure consistent and effective auditing of regulatory requirements and Honeywell Level 1 & Level 2 Standards.

YOU MUST HAVE: 
  • At least 15 years of progressive health and safety experience, with increased responsibility.
  • Extensive leadership experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in a construction work environment.

  • Knowledge and management experience with global aspects of HSE and Sustainability
  • Firm understanding of OSHAs standard as well as their Voluntary Protection Program (VPP)
