The Crew Scheduling Assistant Manager performs the following essential functions:

  1. The Crew Scheduling Assistant Manager reports directly to the Manager of Crew Scheduling.
  2. Guide, supervise, empower, and develop the skills and abilities of all crew scheduling employees.
  3. Supervise department operation to ensure compliance with department policies and procedures.
  4. Ensure crew member assignments are in accordance with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s) and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs); to include qualifications and international rules.
  5. Maintain and monitor the day-to-day operations, including crew legality concerns.
  6. Delegate and organize administrative tasks.
  7. Effectively communicate IROP impacts on the schedule to managers on duty.
  8. Provide on-the-job training for new employees within the department; training to include Scheduling system, FARs, CBAs, as well as department and organizational policies and procedures.
  9. Responsible for all Crew Scheduling employees’ work schedules.
  10. Management of department coverage for Vacation and Sick time.
  11. interface with other departments to adequately plan and coordinate assignments for crew members for all scheduled, chartered and ad-hoc flights.
  12. Provide a verbal and written operations summary to leadership if needed.
  13. Organize and supervise the long-term and medium-term of Crew planning to optimize Crew members usage, within the legal and Company requirements.
  14. Supervise long- and medium-term hotel and travel planning.
  15. Supervise and support the scheduler on duty with the daily operation.
  16. Monitor monthly crew lines to identify any possible legalities problems to propose and, when applicable, reassign pilots for on-time performance or to ensure compliance with FAA, CBA limitations.
  17. Plan and monitor the OE schedule for new pilots.
  18. Monitor and create the weekly HM captain’s hours report.
  19. Cover the supervisor on call after hour schedule when assign.

Additional duties and special projects will be assigned based on departmental need.
