Purpose of the position
- Introduce lean framework at Brussels Airlines
- Advise and support the Management Board
- Coordinate transversal projects in alignment with the Lufthansa group and the company governance
Main tasks & responsibilities
Lean development
- Introduce lean framework at Brussels Airlines, incl. concept to train additional internal stakeholders in lean principles
- Based on data and in collaboration with many different stakeholders identify potential for continuous improvement in the organization and address issues by conducting lean projects with focus on operations
- Align with internal and external stakeholders on company action plan and priorities
- Prepare and support discussions for the Management Board but also towards the different departments
- Promote continuous (cost) improvement culture within the organization
Management Support
- Manage, facilitate and prepare company divisions committees and (top) management offsites
- Provide support by creating presentations, briefings, facilitating cross-divisional workshops etc.
- Promote corporate governance and decision process with a focus on quality & efficiency
PMO
- Manage and deliver transversal projects in line with the company’s vision and strategy
- Anticipate issues within projects, work together with project leads towards finding solutions or ideas & escalate when required
- Manage and optimize a portfolio of diverse projects & initiatives
- Coordinate project landscape within Brussels Airlines in a transparent way
- Build and support positive changes
- KPI’s & reporting: follow up on the metrics
Your Profile
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in lean management - preferably in the field of operations
- University degree or equivalent
- Project management skills
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills
- Comfortable with figures & analytical skills
- Stress resistant / reliable / discrete
- Solution oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to motivate/inspire involved stakeholders to successfully drive the change using a range of soft skills
- Pragmatic
- Able and willing to challenge the status quo
- Persuasive and comfortable in dealing with senior management
- Ambition to grow into a leadership function over time
