As a Contracts Director here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the contracts function. The primary portfolio for this role involves the government and commercial space sector. You will be responsible for developing and implementing contracts strategies and policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company objectives. You will lead a team of contracts professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to draft, negotiate and interpret U.S. Government prime and subcontracts, commercial contracts, and other related agreements. You will also play a key role on the Legal and Contracts leadership team, taking ownership of projects that drive positive change throughout the organization.
You will report directly to our Vice President & General Counsel, Defense and Space.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of contract management within the Aerospace Technologies business unit, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while protecting the companys interests.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement contracts strategies and policies
- Oversee the negotiation and management of contracts
- Provide guidance and support to the contracts team
- Monitor contract performance and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure contract compliance
- Manage and oversee U.S. Government Classified Contracts and Subcontracts
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 8+ years of experience managing/negotiating contracts
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Government contracting laws and regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS), commercial contract law and commercial terms and conditions
- Management experience
- A Top Secret (or equivalent) U.S. Government Security Clearance or the Ability to Obtain One
