The Systems Support & Technology organization within BR&T is seeking a Vehicle Systems Manager based in North Charleston, SC.  The successful candidate will manage engineers performing Electromagnetic Effects and Human Factors engineering research activities.

This role requires 20 travel.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities within multiple engineering disciplines

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides project management of research projects and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Develops and maintains enterprise technology strategy, technology roadmaps and alignment with enterprise partners (BCA, BDS, BGS & ET&T)

  • Provides oversight of the EME composite characterization lab

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 2&43; years of experience leading cross functional teams

  • 3&43; years of experience in technical leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Advanced technical degree

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to changing environments and work statements.

  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, a strong desire to work with technical and non-technical audiences and be a self-starter.

  • Experience managing several simultaneous projects effectively and across various geographical locations.

  • Passion to develop a team and people.

Summary pay range: $137,700 - $186,300
