Airline Retailing Data and Business Insights Manager

Your role

We are excited to announce we are currently recruiting for the role of Airline Retailing Data & Business Insights Manager. Reporting to the Director of Airline Retailing, this role performs a critical function in the Airline Retailing team working collaboratively across the Customer team, Finance and IAG to enable delivery and financial tracking of transformation benefits and departmental budgets.

 

This role is the Airline Retailing lead on data and reporting, generating a single source, self-serve, reporting framework for the Airline Retailing team and will formulate a data strategy to efficiently report to internal and external stakeholders.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Develop Financial Plan Airline Retailing Costs and build other key performance indicator metrics. Monitor and report against both monthly.
  • Liaise with IAG to provide Customer and Distribution benchmarking and updates on key strategic initiatives
  • Support Director in defining, documenting and communicating the strategic roadmap and in managing relationships with key Distribution Partners
  • Identify reporting strategy gaps, outlining, developing and maintaining solutions in the form of new dynamic reports.
  • Leading the creation of automated dashboards (for the Director of Airline Retailing and the CCO), to combine new and existing data sources, and where possible seeking opportunities to utilise BI and visualisation tools to maximise the effectiveness of the reporting.
  • Support the delivery of a single, self-serve, consistent, accurate and reconciled source of data for MI, analytics and reporting.

 

Your qualifications and key criteria

  • 3rd level qualification in Business / Commerce / Finance. Accounting/ Professional Financial qualification would be an advantage
  • Strong commercial awareness combined with good working knowledge of airline environment
  • Experience in analysing and interpreting data
  • Experience of presenting information to senior management and other stakeholders
  • Ability to be an agent for change in the organisation and manage teams towards change.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively negotiate and influence
  • Strong Leadership skills, with ability to influence change across the organisation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present facts and opinions articulately & objectively
  • An enthusiastic team member with a flexible and positive attitude to work
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
  • Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Provide two verifiable references.
  • Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5-year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in Dublin.

*If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months, you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries.
