Role title
AMP Manager
Your role
As an AMP Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day function of the AMP Team within the Technical Services Department. This involves communication with and support for many departments within Aer Lingus including Line/Base Maintenance, Planning, Flight Ops., Transformation and Finance. Our Maintenance & Engineering Department helps us to drive Aer Lingus’ ambition by ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability in our fleet.
Your responsibilities as an AMP Manager will include:
- Manage the production of AMP revisions to ensure continuing airworthiness of A320CEO, A321NEO, A330 fleets and aircraft operating on the Aer Lingus UK AOC.
- Manage the performance and competence of the AMP team, including EASA human factors principles and ensure adequate resource availability to meet business needs.
- Ensuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) are in place and regularly monitored, and corrective interventions made when required.
- Optimise maintenance inspection and check intervals.
- Work in accordance with Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME), company manual procedures, and Reliability manual.
- Maintain knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and promoting safety culture; hazard reporting, including self-reporting.
- Oversight of the submission of AMPs to the Irish Aviation Authority and the Civil Aviation Authority (Aer Lingus UK registered aircraft).
- Compliance with all Airworthiness Limitation Sections (ALS) requirements.
- Propose, develop, and drive initiatives to contribute to Maintenance and Engineering Transformation agenda.
- Oversight of annual AMP effectiveness reviews in compliance with Aer Lingus procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring ETOPS manuals remain current and are communicated appropriately to all stakeholders.
Your qualifications and key criteria
We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
- EASA Part 66 qualification, or relevant Engineering degree or National equivalent.
- 5 years relevant work experience of which at least 2 years should be from the Aeronautical industry in an appropriate role.
- Working knowledge of AMOS as it relates to Maintenance Programmes.
- Understanding of aircraft regulatory requirements (Part M and Part CAMO).
- Knowledge of Airworthiness Directives.
- Aircraft Maintenance Programmes, MSG 3 logic & Maintenance Review Board principals and techniques.
- Knowledge of safety risk management philosophies and human factors.
- Knowledge of Safety management Systems and the importance of occurrence reporting.
- Ability to work as part of a team but also demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to identify, manage and deliver transformation initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams etc).
- People management experience.
- Strong leadership and communication capabilities.
- Proven decision-making skills.
- Previous experience with A320/A321/A330 aircraft and CFM/GE engines.
- Knowledge of Airbus Technical Documentation.
- Experience in writing technical work instructions and technical reports.
- Experience in interpreting Manufacturers Publications.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- Provide three verifiable references.
- Able to pass a five year security background check as this role is based in Dublin.
